Formula Testing:

We offer compatibility and stability testing, micro testing, and pilot batching. We also have local off-site testing.

Packaging Testing:

Through an exclusive partnership with a prominent testing facility, SeaCliff also offers complete custom component design, as well as packaging engineering and testing to ensure your components work synergistically with the formulation, and to confirm the decoration can withstand transit and contact with the product.

SeaCliff Beauty Packaging & Laboratories offers a full service Research and Development Department dedicated to discovering and implementing the latest technologies and active ingredients sourced from all over the world. Our expansive network of raw material suppliers enables us to fuse cost effective strategies with creativity and innovation to ensure your brand has a unique point of difference with proven efficacy.

R&D EQUIPMENT

We are in the process of purchasing “Novalum” an ATP Hygiene Testing Machine:

  • ATP testing is designed to strengthen hygiene and environmental monitoring of cleaning process performance.
  • ATP testing is the most commonly adopted method for real-time monitoring of cleaning process performance.
  • By implementing ATP hygiene and environmental monitoring into a safety program provides verification that the program in place is working, verifies that employees are doing their job(s) correctly, and documents how well the program is performing. Government regulators look for this type of documentation during audits and award additional points to companies like SeaCliff Beauty, who do more than just visual inspection to verify sanitation.

LAB

SeaCliff Beauty Packaging & Laboratories has a 2,500 square foot, fully operational laboratory offering an array of services, which includes compatibility and stability testing, micro testing, product development, pilot batches, and the manufacturing of custom and private label formulas.
With the capability to develop formulations for color cosmetics, skin care, body care, hair care, nail care, OTC’s, and fine fragrances, we offer different options to cater to your specific needs:

  • Option A: Our chemists and R&D team will help source the latest innovations in raw materials and ingredient technologies to develop your own proprietary formulas.
  • Option B: If you have existing formulas, we will reverse engineer them to match your standards.

COMPOUND & FILLING

SeaCliff Beauty has a full range of compounding and filling equipment for liquid and emulsion products. All compounding and filling are performed under Current Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA guidelines.

  • Chemical raw materials are approved for release by the Quality Control Department prior to their transfer to the compounding area.
  • The chemicals are pre-weighed according to the batch requirements.
  • The proper tank is selected, depending on the batch size and the batch is inspected during the compounding process.
  • The filling process is at all times monitored by Quality Assurance for compliance to customer and SeaCliff Beauty standards.
  • Samples are taken and evaluated by Quality Assurance and Quality Control. The products are evaluated for the parameters specified by the customer or SeaCliff.
  • The completed product is packed into shipping cartons and securely stacked and wrapped to pallets. The pallets are then transferred to the warehouse to await shipment.
COMPOUND EQUIPMENT

Kettles 1 and 2- 30 Gallon 316 Stainless Steel Steam Jacketed Sanitary Kettles capable of mixing up to 60 gallons of product per shift. These kettles can be utilized for hot or cold process formulas.

Kettles 3 and 4- 100 Gallon 316 Stainless Steel Steam Jacked Sanitary Kettles capable of mixing up to 200 gallons of product per shift. These kettles can be utilized for hot or cold process formulas.

Mixing tank 5- 150 Gallon 316 Stainless Steel Sanitary Tank capable of mixing up to 300 gallons of product per shift. This tank can be used for cold process formulas only.

Mixing Tank 6- 250 gallon 316 Stainless Steel Sanitary Tank capable of mixing up to 500 gallons of product per shift. This tank can be used for cold process formulas only.

Total Hot Process capacity based on two batches per kettle is 520 Gallons of product per shift.

Total Cold Process capacity based on two batches per tank is 1,320 Gallons of product per shift.

FILLING EQUIPMENT

Line- 1 Norden Tube filling Line:

  • Sizes can range from 1 ml to 400 ml fill range.
  • This machine is capable of strait or Design a Seal configurations.
  • This line can fill up to 32,000 tubes per shift.

Line-2 REB Liquid filling line:

  • Sizes can range from .2oz to 1 gallon fill range.
  • This line can fill bottles, jars, mascara cylinders, lip gloss cylinders or airless pump cylinders per shift.
  • This line is also capable of doing hot fills.
  • This line can fill up to 30,000 units per shift.

Line-3 Custom built Lipstick-Lip Gloss hot filling line using molds.

  • This line can fill up to 20,000 Lipsticks or Lip Gloss per shift.

Line-4 Loose powder- pressed powder filling line:

  • This line can fill up to 9,000 containers per shift.
  • Also this line can be utilized as an assembly line for kits or sub assemblies.
  • Capacities will be determined on the complexity of the kit or sub assembly.

Total Filling Department Capacity is up to 170,000 units per shift.
